Change your mould

change your mould

Today marks six months since I returned to the States, after six years of living in Cape Town.

As I headed out on my daily walk this past Saturday, The Verve’s song “Bitter Sweet Symphony” suddenly popped into my head:

‘Cause it’s a bitter sweet symphony, this life…I am here in my mould…I can’t change my mould.

Looking back over the past six months, as well as the time since Angelo’s passing, I feel the universe was offering a different message: We CAN change our mould.

The synchronicity was notable: the pending anniversary, six months, six years, the song, the light breaking through the oak that I’ve been visiting daily on my walks all suggested that when we decide to transform, the universe conspires to help us.

As Joseph Campbell said,

“Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.”

It’s taken some time but I’m starting to see those doors.

Are you ready to change your mould?
